JENNIE GARTH GUEST STARS - Kelly (Jennie Garth) and Silver (Jessica Stroup) deal with the shocking news that their mother, Jackie (guest star Ann Gillespie, "Beverly Hills, 90210"), is dying of breast cancer.  Kelly doesn't want to be sucked back into her mother's bad behavior, but Silver feels differently.  Navid's (Michael Steger) world is turned upside down when Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) reveals that she needs time alone, but turns to Teddy (Trevor Donovan) for attention.  Jen (Sara Foster) continues to manipulate Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) and manages to convince Naomi to lend her a large amount of cash.  Jasper (guest star Zach Sherman) rescues Annie (Shenae Grimes) from a bad date and the two forge a bond that will be hard to break.  Harry (Rob Estes) accompanies Ryan (Ryan Eggold) to a bar for some guy time and attempts to be his wing man.  Lori Loughlin, Tristan Wilds and Matt Lanter also star.  Liz Friedlander directed the episode written by Mark Driscoll (#206).

"The Last Days of Disco Stick!" (TV-14, DLS) (HDTV)

 

GUEST PERFORMANCE BY LADY GAGA! - Hoping to impress the elitist theater kids at NYU, Blair (Leighton Meester) sets her sights on landing a private concert with the hottest musical performer of the year, Lady Gaga.  Dan (Penn Badgley) and Olivia (guest star Hilary Duff) sign up to write and star in a school play, based on an idea by Blair and directed by Vanessa (Jessica Szohr).  With Blair out of the picture, Serena (Blake Lively) turns to Nate (Chace Crawford) to help her get through a difficult situation.  As a favor to Chuck (Ed Westwick), Jenny (Taylor Momsen) agrees to hang out with Damien (guest star Kevin Zegers), the son of an ambassador who is staying at Chuck's hotel, but the experience proves to be a lot more intriguing than she expected.  Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star.  Tony Wharmby directed the episode written by Leila Gerstein (#310).

NATHAN'S SCANDAL THREATENS HIS FUTURE - Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) considers taking matters into her own hands as Nathan's (James Lafferty) scandal threatens his endorsement deals.  Julian (Austin Nichols) gives Alex (guest star Jana Kramer) another chance, and Brooke (Sophia Bush) reconnects with Chase (guest star Stephen Colletti).  Millicent (Lisa Goldstein) questions whether she has what it takes to be a model.  Meanwhile, Clay (Robert Buckley) lets Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) in on a big secret.  Paul Johannson and Lee Norris also star.  Janice Cooke directed the episode written by Mike Daniels (#706).

ONLY TWO GIRLS LEFT STANDING - The final four girls learn some hip hop hula moves before channeling Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes, during this week's photo shoot.  Jay reveals that two girls will be sent home in this week's elimination.  The guest judge is Seventeen Magazine editor-in-chief Ann Shoket (#1311).

IN A FLASHBACK SEQUENCE, STEFAN REVEALS THE SALVATORE FAMILY HISTORY TO ELENA - Elena (Nina Dobrev) demands that Stefan (Paul Wesley) explain the frightening events that have been happening in Mystic Falls.  In flashbacks, Stefan explains how his rivalry with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) began.  Back in the present, Damon impulsively takes control of Vicki's (Kayla Ewell) future, and a confused and frightened Vicki runs away.  Finally, Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) and Mayor Lockwood (guest star Rob Pralgo) take steps to protect the town.  Steven R. OLD MAN DEAN!  - Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) discover a witch (guest star Hal Ozsan) is running a high-stakes poker game where the currency is life years vs. money.  Bobby (Jim Beaver) sees the game as a chance to get out of the wheelchair and bets 25 years, but loses.  As Bobby begins to age rapidly, Dean steps in to save him but also ends up turning into an old man, leaving Sam holding the bag for their survival.  Robert Singer directed the episode with teleplay by Sera Gamble and story by Sera Gamble & Jenny Klein (#507).
