MANNION AND HIS TEAM HAVE 48 HOURS TO
STOP AN INNOCENT MAN FROM BEING EXECUTED, ON A REBROADCAST OF "THE DISTRICT," SATURDAY, JUNE 8

"The Killing Point" -- Mannion and his team struggle to prevent the execution of a death row inmate who has been wrongly accused of murder, on a rebroadcast of THE DISTRICT, Saturday, June 8 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Christopher Taylor directed the episode written by John Wirth, one of the executive producers, and Pam Veasey, one of the co-executive producers. (Originally broadcast on 5/4/02)

Debreno's brother, Father Kevin Debreno, first brings the case to Mannion's attention after receiving an anonymous letter from one of his parishioners that contains information leading to the location of the missing murder weapon. Father Debreno refuses to identify the parishioner because of his unwillingness to break the sanctity of confession. Now, as Temple, Debreno and Mannion retrace the steps of this difficult case, they must discover the real murderer and stop the execution in the hopes that justice prevails.

Meanwhile, Ella must make a tough decision when Ricky receives a letter from his father in prison requesting to see him.
