"What's Past is Prologue" (TV-14) (HDTV)

 

RUMER WILLIS AND GREG VAUGHAN GUEST STAR - Gia (Rumer Willis) encourages Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) to audition for a new band and admits she has a crush on Adrianna.  Dixon's (Tristan Wilds) birthmother, Dana (guest star April Parker Jones, "Jericho") drops by for a surprise visit and tries to develop a relationship with her son.  Silver (Jessica Stroup) and Teddy (Trevor Donovan) go on their first official date but Silver finds it difficult to deal with Teddy's playboy past and enlists Naomi's (AnnaLynne McCord) help to track his whereabouts.  Navid (Michael Steger) returns from his suspension to find that Naomi has started a gossip segment during Blaze News, which he adamantly opposes.  Navid decides to get back into the dating scene by asking Lila (guest star Amber Wallace, "The Vampire Diaries") out on a date, his first since breaking up with Adrianna.  Annie (Shenae Grimes) realizes that Jasper (Zach Sherman) has started following her around town.  Debbie (Lori Loughlin) confides in Kai (guest star Greg Vaughan, "General Hospital"), her yoga instructor, about the arrival of Dixon's birthmother.  Rob Estes also stars.  Norman Buckley directed the episode written by Daniel Arkin (#215).

DAMIEN PRESSURES JENNY TO SLEEP WITH HIM - Despite being grounded, Jenny (Taylor Momsen) continues to see Damien (guest star Kevin Zeggers) who tells Jenny that he wants to have sex with her.  Lily (Kelly Rutherford) tells Rufus (Matthew Settle) the big secret she has been keeping from him even though she knows it's a huge risk.  Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) explore a new stage of their friendship.  Chuck (Ed Westwick) is forced to make an extremely difficult decision about his hotel.  Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford also star.  Wendy Stanzler directed the episode written by Leila Gerstein (#315).

AN HOMAGE TO THE LATE DIRECTOR JOHN HUGHES - In the chaos surrounding an '80's alumni dance at the high school, Haley's (Bethany Joy Galeotti) birthday is forgotten, Jamie (Jackson Brundage) is left home alone, and Nathan (James Lafferty) and Clay (Robert Buckley) are stranded 200 miles from Tree Hill.  Meanwhile, Brooke's (Sophia Bush) appearance at the dance with Alexander (guest star Mitch Ryan) forces Julian (Austin Nichols) to relive his dorky adolescence in an episode dedicated to the memory of John Hughes.  Shantel VanSanten, Lee Norris, and Lisa Goldstein also star.  Les Butler directed the episode written by Terrence Coli (#715).

LUX AND JONES GO ON THEIR FIRST DATE - Cate (Shiri Appleby) and Ryan (Kerr Smith) are forced to put on a happy face as the hosts of a wedding expo, but the unfortunate situation becomes even more unfortunate after Baze (Kristoffer Polaha) and Math (Austin Basis) show up at the event.  After watching Lux (Britt Robertson) mope around the house for days, Baze solicits help from Jones (guest star Austin Butler) in an effort to cheer her up.  David Paymer directed the episode written by Sallie Patrick. THE GIRLS STRIKE THEIR BEST VAMPIRE POSE IN A BLOOD-FILLED BATHTUB - The girls learn they will be portraying vampires in a tub of blood in this week's photo shoot challenge.  Meanwhile, back at their NYC loft, screaming and yelling escalates to an all-time high between two of the girls (1405).

A NEW START - Anna (Malese Jow) brings a surprising guest along when she pays a visit to Damon (Ian Somerhalder).  Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) go on an awkward double date with Caroline (Candice Accola) and Matt (Zach Roerig), but Stefan and Matt find they have some common ground.  Jenna (Sara Canning) reunites with her old friend Kelly (guest star Melinda Clarke), and Jeremy's (Steven R. McQueen) relationship with Anna takes an unexpected direction.  Kevin Bray directed the episode written by Bryan Oh & Andrew Chambliss (#115).

LOIS MOVES IN WITH CLARK - It's Valentine's Day and while Clark (Tom Welling) is out on a date with Lois (Erica Durance), he unknowingly becomes infected by gemstone kryptonite, which has magical wish-fulfilling properties. Clark mentions to Lois that he wishes they had a more traditional relationship,so Lois quits the Daily Planet, moves in with Clark and starts planning their wedding.  Still unaware of his new power, Clark also casually tells Chloe (Allison Mack) he wishes she would spend more time watching out for him, so an infected Chloe takes his wish to heart and sets her sights on a new target - Lois.  Christopher Petry directed the episode written by Anne Cofell Saunders (#3X5264).

SAM AND DEAN FACE OFF AGAINST LUCIFER - Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) track down the Colt and head off to find Lucifer (guest star Mark Pelligreno) to send him back to Hell.  It's a hunters' reunion when the crew joins forces with Bobby (Jim Beaver), Ellen (guest star Samantha Ferris) and Jo (guest star Alona Tal) for what could be their last night on Earth.  Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Ben Edlund (#510).
