GOSSIP GIRL RETURNS! - As the summer is drawing to a close, Blair (Leighton Meester) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) are madly in love and adjusting to their new "in a relationship" status, breaking all traditional rules of dating as would be expected.  Serena (Blake Lively) returns from her European adventure with many secrets to hide and a complicated relationship with Carter Baizen (guest star Sebastian Stan).  Nate (Chace Crawford) returns from his travels with a mysterious brunette, Bree Buckley (guest star JoAnna Garcia) in tow.  Rufus (Matthew Settle), Dan (Penn Badgley) and Jenny (Taylor Momsen) spent the summer in the Hamptons, adjusting to the van der Woodsen's glamorous lifestyle surprisingly faster than any of them expected.  Jessica Szohr also stars.  J. ONE TREE HILL RETURNS WITH SOME NEW FACES - Nathan (James Lafferty) learns of a shocking accusation that could threaten his career, much to the chagrin of his sports agent Clay (new series regular Robert Buckley, "Lipstick Jungle").  Brook (Sophia Bush) prepares to launch a new fashion line, and Julian (Austin Nichols) decides to produce a big movie.  Haley's (Bethany Joy Galeotti) sister Quinn (new series regular Shantel VanSanten, "The Final Destination") makes a surprise visit.  Meanwhile, Jamie (Jackson Brundage) celebrates his 7th birthday.  Paul Johansson, Lee Norris, Antwon Tanner, and Lisa Goldstein also star.  Clark Mathis directed the episode written by Mark Schwahn (#701).

SUMMER SCHOOL IS OUT AT WEST BEV AND THE KIDS HIT THE BEVERLY HILLS BEACH CLUB! - The group of friends from West Beverly were forced to attend summer school after Annie (Shenae Grimes) called the police on Naomi's (AnnaLynne McCord) after-prom party.  Naomi, Silver (Jessica Stroup) and Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) have formed a close friendship over the summer, while Annie has isolated herself from her friends and family, worried about her hit-and-run accident on prom night.  For the remainder of the summer, everyone hangs out at the Beverly Hills Beach Club, where Naomi and Silver meet Teddy (guest star Trevor Donovan, "Days of Our Lives"), a pro-tennis player and the son of a famous movie star.  Adrianna is surprised to see her childhood boyfriend and Navid (Michael Steger) organizes a romantic evening with Adrianna, with hopes of finally losing his virginity.  Dixon (Tristan Wilds) and Silver try to make their relationship work but a text message may force Dixon to ends things once and for all.  Rob Estes, Lori Loughlin and Ryan Eggold also star.  Stuart Gillard directed the episode written by executive producer Rebecca Sinclair (#201).

A NEW DRAMA BASED ON THE BEST-SELLING BOOK SERIES "THE VAMPIRE DIARIES" - Four months after a tragic car accident killed their parents, 17-year-old Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev, "DeGrassi: The Next Generation") and her 15-year-old brother, Jeremy (Steven R. BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN ("TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES") GUEST STARS AS JOHN CORBEN - Clark (Tom Welling) tells Jor-El he's ready to start his training, but Jor-El sends him back to Metropolis to cut ties with Lois before he can begin.  Chloe (Allison Mack) is shocked when Lois (Erica Durance) suddenly reappears after having been missing for weeks, but Lois has no recollection of vanishing into thin air with the Legion ring.  While investigating a monorail crash, Lois meets John Corben (guest star Brian Austin Green), a new reporter at The Daily Planet, with a negative attitude toward the Red-Blue Blur.  Chloe begs Clark to use the Legion ring to go back in time to save Jimmy, but he refuses, driving a wedge into their friendship.  Meanwhile, Oliver (Justin Hartley) continues down a dark road, and   Zod (Callum Blue) arrives at the Luthor mansion.  Kevin Fair directed the episode written by Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders (#3X5251).

IS THIS THE END? - Castiel (Misha Collins) tells Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) that he is going to search for God, who will be able to defeat Lucifer. Bobby's (Jim Beaver) old hunter friend, Rufus (guest star Steven Williams), is panicked about demons attacking his town, and begs Bobby for help.  Sam and Dean arrive at the town and realize there is a spell over the townspeople, making them hallucinate that they are demons and causing them to kill one another.  Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Sera Gamble (#502).
