GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER�—�Nathan (James Lafferty) tries to keep Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) calm after Taylor (guest star Lindsey McKeon) shows up at their house with Quinn's (Shantel VanSanten) ex-husband (guest star Scott Holroyd) in tow. Julian (Austin Nichols) sticks up for Alex (guest star Jana Kramer) on the set of their movie, and Brooke (Sophia Bush) leans on Alexander (guest star Mitch Ryan) to ease her heartache. �Meanwhile, Clay (Robert Buckley) gets a chance to prove his commitment to Quinn by helping her through a dinner with her sister and David. CATE AND BAZE FIGHT FOR CUSTODY OF LUX — Cate (Shiri Appleby) and Baze (Kristoffer Polaha) are paid a visit by a social worker whose job it is to evaluate both of them and determine if they are fit parents. Lux (Britt Robertson) is torn when her boyfriend, Bug (guest star Rafi Gavron, "24"), and best friend, Natasha (guest star Ksenia Solo), suggest that Cate and Baze may not be in it for the long haul and that Lux should return to her old life and the people who love her most of all. Meanwhile, Cate is pressured by the executives at the radio station to deny that she has a daughter in order to save her job. Austin Basis and Kerr Smith also star. Executive producer Gary Fleder directed the episode written by executive producer Liz Tigelaar (#101).

JENNIE GARTH AND ANN GILLESPIE GUEST STAR IN THE HALLOWEEN- THEMED EPISODE — It's Halloween at the Beverly Hills Beach Club and Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) channels Marilyn Monroe to help her deal with the end of her relationship with Navid (Michael Steger). Silver (Jessica Stroup) and Kelly (Jennie Garth) continue to have differing opinions about caring for Jackie (Ann Gillespie). Silver is overloaded with school work and caring for her mom, but soon learns that she and Teddy (Teddy Donovan) have more in common than a class project. Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) continues her relationship with Richard (guest star Jonathon Trent, "CSI: NY"), but when she and Jamie (guest star Travis Van Winkle, "Meet the Spartans") share an intimate conversation, her plans to schmooze with the dean of CU come to a screeching halt. Dixon (Tristan Wilds) realizes he and Sasha (guest star Mekia Cox, "Bones") are in two different places in their life and decides to end their relationship, but she ends up delivering life-changing news. Tensions rise between Debbie (Lori Loughlin) and Harry (Rob Estes) when she walks in on Harry and Kelly in his office. Annie (Shenae Grimes) and Jasper's (guest star Zach Sherman) relationship is put to the test when he attempts to convince her to steal a car while shooting a scene for his student film. Liam (Matt Lanter) butts heads with the newest member of the surf team, Ivy (guest star Gillian Zinser). Ryan Eggold also stars. DAPHNE ZUNIGA RETURNS AS JO REYNOLDS AND JENNA DEWAN ("STEP UP") GUEST STARS — Ella (Katie Cassidy) and Riley (Jessica Lucas) arrive at the Anton V photo shoot and meet the photographer - former Melrose Place resident, Jo Reynolds (Daphne Zuniga). Jo feels that Riley's inexperience is preventing Jo from getting her shot, so Jo pushes Riley's buttons and insists on a topless shoot to help Riley get in touch with her emotions. Meanwhile, Jonah (Michael Rady) meets with a producer's development exec, Kendra (guest star Jenna Dewan, "Step Up"), who invites him to have drinks later that night to discuss his film. Violet (Ashlee Simpson-Wentz) makes another play for Auggie's (Colin Egglesfield) attention, and Lauren (Stephanie Jacobsen) finds out about David's (Shaun Sipos) secret. JIMMY FALLON & HILARY DUFF GUEST STAR Olivia (guest star Hilary Duff) says something she regrets during her appearance on Jimmy Fallon's (Fallon playing himself) talkshow and tries to keep Dan (Penn Badgley) from finding out. With election day around the corner, Nate (Chace Crawford) suspects his grandfather (guest star James Naughton) will stop at nothing to get Trip (guest star Aaron Tveit) elected to congress. In the midst of another feud with Serena (Blake Lively), Blair (Leighton Meester) befriends a new "it" girl and takes her to an election night party at Chuck's (Ed Westwick) hotel, hoping to make Serena jealous. THE NEW KIDS IN TOWN / SEAN FARIS GUEST STARS — As Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) try to figure out the identity of the new vampire in town, Stefan gives Elena (Nina Dobrev) jewelry filled with Vervain to protect her family and friends. Hurting for money, Matt (Zach Roerig) takes a job at the Mystic Grill, where former high school football-star Ben (guest star Sean Faris, "Never Back Down"), works as a bartender. Ben comes to Bonnie's (Katerina Graham) aid when he notices Damon is bothering her. Damon and Stefan accompany Elena to a school dance with a 1950s' theme, where Alaric (guest star Matt Davis) introduces himself to Damon. Steven R. McQueen and Sara Canning also star. SAM'S BODYSNATCHED! — Gary (guest star Colton James), a teenage nerd, conjures up a body-switching spell and changes bodies with Sam (Jared Padalecki). Thrilled by his new handsome and built body, Gary (now Sam) investigates a case with Dean (Jensen Ackles) and takes advantage of his good looks and age by hitting on women and getting drunk. Meanwhile, Sam is stuck in Gary's teenage body, dealing with intrusive parents and high school. METROPOLIS HOSTS A COMIC BOOK CONVENTION — DC COMICS' CHARACTER ZATANNA RETURNS — Clark (Tom Welling) meets Zatanna (guest star Serinda Swan) at a comic book convention, where she tells him her father charmed a copy of the comic book "Warrior Angel" and it holds magical powers. A young man named Stephen (guest star Carlo Marks) steals the comic book and develops super powers, transforming himself into Warrior Angel and saving Chloe (Allison Mack) from a horrible accident. Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance) becomes jealous of Clark's relationship with Zatanna. Allison Mack directed the episode written by Bryan Q. Miller (#3X5261).

DC COMICS' LEGION OF SUPERHEROES ARRIVE IN SMALLVILLE FROM THE FUTURE TO HELP CLARK STOP BRAINIAC AND THE PERSUADER — The aftermath of Doomsday's (Sam Witwer) attack on Chloe (Allison Mack) and Jimmy's (Aaron Ashmore) wedding leaves Clark (Tom Welling) in shock, but before he can search for the kidnapped Chloe, The Persuader (guest star Fraser Aithceson) appears and attacks him. Rokk (guest star Ryan Kennedy), Imra (guest star Alexz Johnson) and Garth (guest star Calum Worthy), also known as The Legion, step in from the future to help vanquish the Persuader and the group realizes Brainiac has taken over Chloe once again. Meanwhile, up at the Fortress, Chloe, as Brainiac, informs Davis he is Doomsday and was created to kill "the other Kryptonian" and destroy the world.
