NATHAN AND JAMIE JOIN HALEY ON THE ROAD—The Scott family joins Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) on the last leg of her tour, while Brook (Sophia Bush) and Julian (Austin Nichols) reconnect after their 6-week break. Clay (Robert Buckley) and Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) try to figure out how to move forward after his public declaration of love, and a post-rehab Alex (guest star Jana Kramer) tries to make amends with herself and the people she's let down. James Lafferty, Lee Norris, Jackson Brundage and Lisa Goldstein also star. Joe Davola directed the episode written by Karen Gist (#713).

"`JUNO MEETS GILMORE GIRLS'" IN A NEW HEARTWARMING FAMILY DRAMA STARRING SHIRI APPLEBY ("E.R."), KRISTOFFER POLAHA ("MAD MEN"), BRITT ROBERTSON (`SWINGTOWN"), AUSTIN BASIS ("CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM") AND KERR SMITH ("DAWSON'S CREEK") — After spending all of her 15 years bouncing from one foster family to another in Portland, Oregon, Lux (Robertson) has decided it's time to take control of her life and become an emancipated minor. Her journey through the legal system leads Lux to her biological parents, local radio personality Cate Cassidy (Appleby) and thirty-something Nate "Baze" Bazile (Polaha), who had a one-night stand back in high school. Although they haven't seen each other in 15 years, it doesn't take Cate and Baze long to fall into the same contentious relationship they had as teenagers. However, when a judge decides that Lux isn't ready for emancipation and unexpectedly grants temporary joint custody to Baze and Cate, they agree to try to get past the arguments and awkwardness and make a belated attempt to give Lux the family she deserves. The cast also includes Austin Basis as Math, Baze's childhood friend and current roommate, and Kerr Smith as Ryan Thomas, Cate's fianc� and co-host on K100. Executive producer Gary Fleder directed the pilot written by executive producer Liz Tigelaar (#100).

JENNIE GARTH GUEST STARS — Kelly (Jennie Garth) and Silver (Jessica Stroup) deal with the shocking news that their mother, Jackie (guest star Ann Gillespie, "Beverly Hills, 90210"), is dying of breast cancer. Kelly doesn't want to be sucked back into her mother's bad behavior, but Silver feels differently. Navid's (Michael Steger) world is turned upside down when Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) reveals that she needs time alone, but turns to Teddy (Trevor Donovan) for attention. Jen (Sara Foster) continues to manipulate Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) and manages to convince Naomi to lend her a large amount of cash. Jasper (guest star Zach Sherman) rescues Annie (Shenae Grimes) from a bad date and the two forge a bond that will be hard to break. Harry (Rob Estes) accompanies Ryan (Ryan Eggold) to a bar for some guy time and attempts to be his wing man. Lori Loughlin, Tristan Wilds and Matt Lanter also star. RILEY IS OFFERED THE CHANCE OF A LIFETIME — Anton V. (guest star Kevin Alejandro), a famous fashion designer, meets Riley (Jessica Lucas) and decides she must be the face of his new denim jean campaign, much to his publicist Ella's (Katie Cassidy) horror. Jonah (Michael Rady) is excited about the offer as he's run into financial issues but Riley turns down the gig. Wendi (guest star Kelly Carlson) sends Lauren (Stephanie Jacobsen) on a job on a yacht, but Lauren panics when she sees David (Shaun Sipos) board the boat. Violet (Ashlee Simpson-Wentz) feigns illness to orchestrate a meeting with Michael (Thomas Calabro) at the hospital as part of her plan to exact revenge for the way he treated Sydney (Laura Leighton). Roxann Dawson directed the episode written by Alex McNally (#105).

CHUCK BASS OPENS A CLUB AT HIS NEW HOTEL / ALBERT HAMMOND JR. PERFORMS IN THE EPISODE In need of publicity for his new hotel, Chuck (Ed Westwick) decides to move up his club's opening and enlists Serena's (Blake Lively) help to get the word out to her celebrity clients. Feeling left out of the planning, Blair (Leighton Meester) attempts to win Chuck's approval by secretly helping him with a problem concerning opening night. Dan (Penn Badgley) is unnerved when he finally watches one of Olivia's (guest star Hilary Huff) infamous sex scenes with co-star and real-life boyfriend at the time, Patrick Robinson (guest star Simon Miller). Jenny (Taylor Momsen) is forced to choose between her relationship with Eric (Connor Paolo) and her new role as Queen Bee. Rufus (Matthew Settle) gets Lily (Kelly Rutherford) into the Halloween spirit. Chace Crawford also stars. Joe Lazarov directed the episode written by Sara Goodman (#307).

STEFAN UNCOVERS A STARTLING CLUE TO THE PAST — Damon (Ian Somerhalder) takes a trip to Georgia, where he surprises an old flame, Bree (guest star Gina Torres, "Eli Stone") and enlists her help to figure out how to open the tomb. In the process, Damon comes face to face with someone who is determined to make him pay for past wrongs. Stefan (Paul Wesley) opens up to Grams (guest star Jasmine Guy) in his effort to help Bonnie (Katarina Graham) overcome her fears and accept her powers. While researching his history paper in the public library, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) meets a cute-but-geeky girl named Anna (guest star Malese Jow, "Hannah Montana") who has her own theories on the folklore of Mystic Falls. When Damon returns from Georgia, Stefan is waiting with news that will change their world. Nina Dobrev and Sara Canning also star. SAM AND DEAN CHECK INTO A MENTAL HOSPITAL — A former hunter named Martin (guest star), who is currently institutionalized, calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help investigating a case in the mental hospital. The brothers get themselves admitted as patients to check out the mysterious monster that is attacking the patients, but their incarceration pushes both to the breaking point as they unleash their inner demons against each other.

NO LOVERS, NO ALLIES, NO DISCIPLES; INTRODUCING DC COMIC CHARACTER THE DARK ARCHER — Oliver's (Justin Hartley) past comes back to haunt him in the form of The Dark Archer (guest star Steve Bacic), Oliver's former teacher, who seeks revenge on his student by taking aim at Lois (Erica Durance) and Chloe (Allison Mack). Oliver faces down The Dark Archer after his former mentor kidnaps Mia AKA "Speedy" (guest star Elise Gatien) but is pushed to his limit and Clark (Tom Welling) races to stop him from making another deadly mistake. IT'S FREAKY FRIDAY FOR CHLOE AND LOIS WHEN DC CHARACTER ZATANNA APPEARS — At Chloe's (Allison Mack) birthday party, a mysterious magician named Zatanna (guest star Serinda Swan) grants Chloe's wish to be more like Lois (Erica Durance) and switches the two into each other's bodies. Zatanna searches for her father's book of spells so she can conjure up his spirit but not before also granting Clark (Tom Welling) his deepest wish. Aaron Ashmore and Justin Hartley also star. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Bryan Q. Miller (#3T7467).
