IS NYU READY FOR BLAIR WALDORF? / MICHELLE TRACHTENBERG RETURNS AS GEORGINA — Blair (Leighton Meester), who is determined to maintain her Queen status in college, embarks on her first day at NYU, along with Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr). Unfortunately, Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg) turns up as Blair's roommate in the dorms, determined to make Blair a social outcast. As Serena (Blake Lively) prepares to depart for Brown, she and Chuck (Ed Westwick) have a major falling out, so she recruits Chuck's enemy, Carter (guest star Sebastian Stan), to help her get even. Nate (Chace Crawford) and Bree (guest star JoAnna Garcia) decide to explore their relationship further, knowing full well it could cause tension between their families who are political rivals. SUMMER SCHOOL IS OUT AT WEST BEV AND THE KIDS HIT THE BEVERLY HILLS BEACH CLUB! — The group of friends from West Beverly were forced to attend summer school after Annie (Shenae Grimes) called the police on Naomi's (AnnaLynne McCord) after-prom party. Naomi, Silver (Jessica Stroup) and Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) have formed a close friendship over the summer, while Annie has isolated herself from her friends and family, worried about her hit-and-run accident on prom night. For the remainder of the summer, everyone hangs out at the Beverly Hills Beach Club, where Naomi and Silver meet Teddy (guest star Trevor Donovan, "Days of Our Lives"), a pro-tennis player and the son of a famous movie star. Adrianna is surprised to see her childhood boyfriend and Navid (Michael Steger) organizes a romantic evening with Adrianna, with hopes of finally losing his virginity. Dixon (Tristan Wilds) and Silver try to make their relationship work but a text message may force Dixon to ends things once and for all. Rob Estes, Lori Loughlin and Ryan Eggold also star. SERIES PREMIERE — An updated version of the popular 1990s series, the lives and relationships of a diverse group of 20-somethings intertwine to form a close-knit surrogate family. Heading up this group is landlady Sydney Andrews (Laura Leighton, the original "Melrose Place"), still beautiful and a central figure in the lives of all her tenants, especially handsome and rebellious David Breck (Shaun Sipos, "Shark"), the estranged son of her former lover Dr. Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro, the original "Melrose Place"). A NEW DRAMA BASED ON THE BEST-SELLING BOOK SERIES "THE VAMPIRE DIARIES" — Four months after a tragic car accident killed their parents, 17-year-old Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev, "DeGrassi: The Next Generation") and her 15-year-old brother, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen, "Everwood"), are still adjusting to their new reality. Elena finds comfort with her best friend Bonnie (Katerina Graham, "17 Again"), frenemy Caroline (Candice Accola, "Juno"), and former boyfriend Matt (Zach Roerig, "Friday Night Lights"), but Jeremy is trying to figure out why Matt's sister, Vicki (Kayla Ewell, "The Bold and The Beautiful"), is suddenly rejecting him and hanging out with his rival, Tyler (Michael Trevino, "Cane"). As the school year begins, Elena and her friends are fascinated by a handsome and mysterious new student, Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley, "Fallen"). SAM AND DEAN HUNT AN ANTI-SANTA — It's Christmas time and Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a series of murders where the victims were pulled up through the chimney. Sam realizes they are dealing with a sort of Anti-Santa, a demon with roots in pagan lore. Dean wants to celebrate Christmas the old fashioned way as this is his last, but Sam refuses, not wanting to accept that Dean won't be around next year. Sam flashes back to a certain Christmas when he waited for his father to come home to give him a special gift. J. Miller Tobin directed the episode written by Jeremy Carver (#308).

BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN ("TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES") GUEST STARS AS JOHN CORBEN — Clark (Tom Welling) tells Jor-El he's ready to start his training, but Jor-El sends him back to Metropolis to cut ties with Lois before he can begin. Chloe (Allison Mack) is shocked when Lois (Erica Durance) suddenly reappears after having been missing for weeks, but Lois has no recollection of vanishing into thin air with the Legion ring. While investigating a monorail crash, Lois meets John Corben (guest star Brian Austin Green), a new reporter at The Daily Planet, with a negative attitude toward the Red-Blue Blur. Chloe begs Clark to use the Legion ring to go back in time to save Jimmy, but he refuses, driving a wedge into their friendship. Meanwhile, Oliver (Justin Hartley) continues down a dark road, and Zod (Callum Blue) arrives at the Luthor mansion. BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN ("TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES") CONTINUES HIS ROLE AS JOHN CORBEN — After being struck by a truck, John Corben (guest star Brian Austin Green) wakes up alone in an abandoned apartment as a man-machine with a Kryptonite heart. Corben realizes he now has superhuman strength and sets out to exact revenge on the Red-Blue Blur, who he perceives to be an irresponsible vigilante. Against Clark's (Tom Welling) wishes, Lois (Erica Durance) involves herself in the Red-Blue Blur's investigation, and winds up getting kidnapped by Corben.
