“EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS” — (8:00-8:30 p.m. ET)
“Everybody Hates the Guidance Counselor” (TV-PG) (HDTV)
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER CHRIS ROCK GUEST STARS IN THE SEASON THREE PREMIERE — After Chris (Tyler James Williams) tests poorly on a standard exam, his teacher, Ms. Morello (Jacqueline Mazarella), refers him to the school's guidance counselor, Mr. Abbott (Rock). Although Chris tries to explain that the whole situation is a big mistake and he didn't understand the importance of the test, Mr. Abbott puts him through a series of mental evaluations and eventually determines that Chris must attend a remedial class. Terry Crews, Tichina Arnold, Tequan Richmond, Imani Hakim and Vincent Martella also star. Keith Truesdell directed the episode written by executive producer Ali LeRoi (#045).

“ALIENS IN AMERICA” — (8:30-9:00 p.m. ET)

WELCOME TO AMERICA — Justin Tolchuck (Dan Byrd, “The Hills Have Eyes”) is a sensitive, lanky 16-year-old just trying to make it through the social nightmare of high school in Medora, Wisconsin, with the help of his well-meaning mom Franny (Amy Pietz, “Caroline in the City”), aspiring-entrepreneur dad Gary (Scott Patterson, “Gilmore Girls”) and his beautiful and popular younger sister Claire (Lindsey Shaw, “Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide”). Worried about Justin's lack of friends, and thinking that an athletic, brilliant Nordic teen will bestow instant coolness on her outsider son, Franny signs up for the school's international exchange student program. However, when the Tolchuck's exchange student arrives, he turns out to be Raja Musharaff (Adhir Kalyan, “Fair City”), a 16-year-old Muslim from a small village in Pakistan. Despite the cultural chasm between them, Justin and Raja quickly develop a bond that makes them both feel a little less “alien.” Luke Greenfield directed the episode written by Moses Port and David Guarascio (#100).

AARON IS CALLED TO IRAQ— When Joan (Tracee Ellis Ross) buys an expensive new kitchen range for their new house, her fiancé Aaron (Richard T. Jones) get upset that she spent money without discussing it with him. Later, after Joan and Aaron stop arguing, he receives news that his National Guard unit is being called to Iraq. Meanwhile, Lynn (Persia White) is enjoying her newfound success with her music career and begins to flaunt it. Golden Brooks, Reggie Hayes, Keesha Sharp and Khalil Kane also star. Debbie Allen directed the episode written by series creator and executive producer Mara Brock Akil (#40338-160).

ACTRESS/COMEDIAN MOINQUE MAKES AN CAMEO APPEARANCE— Derwin (Pooch Hall) tries to repair his relationship with Melanie (Tia Mowry) after his infidelity with Drew Sidora. But when Melanie shows up with Trey Wiggs (guest star Chaz Lamar Shepherd) to collect her stuff and move out for good, Derwin gets upset. Meanwhile, Malik's (Hosea Chanchez) on-air kiss with Renee starts a frenzy of plus-sized women throwing themselves at him. Wendy Raquel Robinson, Coby Bell and Brittany Daniel also star.
