THE CW ANNOUNCES NEW FALL 2018

ONE MAGNIFICENT MORNING’ LINE-UP

NETWORK ADDS THREE NEW ORIGINAL E/I SERIES TO ITS BLOCK

TARGETING TEENS AND FAMILIES

Burbank, CA (September 13, 2018) – The CW, in association with Litton Entertainment, today announced the addition of three new series, Did I Mention Invention?; Ready, Set, Pet; and Welcome Hometo its award-winning One Magnificent Morning Saturdaymorning (8:00-11:00am ET/PT) E/I family programming line-up, starting October 6, 2018.

Each of these dynamic new series tell inspirational stories that highlight the importance of community engagement, pursuing one’s dreams, and overcoming challenges. Also joining the line-up will be Daytime Emmy-nominated The Wildlife Docs, taking viewers behind the scenes with an elite team of veterinarians, technicians and trainers as they care for more than 12,000 exotic animals. This Old House: Trade School and Chicken Soup for the Soul’s Hidden Heroes will continue to educate and inspire audiences on One Magnificent Morning.

Did I Mention Invention? is hosted by Alie Ward from her home base of The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mich. She brings viewers fascinating stories of invention while shining a light on everyday innovators. With each episode, Alie will present reports of human ingenuity and inspiration from around the United States and in some cases, around the world. Viewers will learn about innovators young and old, what it takes to bring their vision to life, and little-known facts about the history and process of invention and innovation. Did I Mention Invention? will ignite a spark within the hearts and minds of audiences, encouraging viewers to try their own hand at creating something new.

Hosted by Phil Torres and co-produced by Hearst Originals, Ready, Set, Pet will educate and inform teens and their families about pet adoption, responsible pet ownership, and the importance of a green space for pets. In each episode, Phil will guide a family through the pet adoption process after a careful look at their unique situation to help them make an informed decision in finding the right pet for their lifestyle. While the family visits local shelters and rescues, experts revitalize their outdoor space to make a safe and eco-friendly home for their new pet. In the end, viewers will see family members overcome their disagreements and make the tough decision on which pet will join the family. Ready, Set, Pet will teach viewers that thoughtful preparation is key when learning to care for an animal’s needs.

Welcome Home follows hosts Rob and Treger Strasberg as they run a non-profit dedicated to helping deserving families in transition by turning their house into a home with their motto, ‘design with dignity’– and changing lives along the way. In each episode, we meet a family emerging from difficult circumstances as they finally move into a new living space to call their own. To help the family with their fresh start, Treger, Rob, and a dedicated team of designers and volunteers will transform the family’s bare house into a warm home by using goods and services donated by people in the community. The new home will provide much-needed stability to meet the family's specific needs, stimulate their interests, and promote their goals. Welcome Home is coproduced in partnership with BYUtv and will teach viewers the importance of giving back in their communities, to never give up when faced with a tough situation, and to have gratitude for the basic living necessities that we often take for granted.
