Jordan Baker in “All American”
In The CW’s drama “All American,” Michael Evans Behling plays Jordan Baker, who finds himself as the starting quarterback at Golden Angeles University as a freshman. He has to find new depths as a team leader as he faces bigger challenges than ever before both on and off the field. Jordan also has to balance life at the beach house while hiding a burgeoning new relationship.
A self-proclaimed country boy, Behling was born in Columbus, Ohio, and raised in Columbus, Indiana on ten acres of sprawling land. His affinity for the great outdoors was born in the Midwest while tending to livestock, mowing grass, and caring for multiple dogs. At just 16 years old, Behling discovered his affinity for the medical profession while watching his grandfather heal others as a cardiovascular surgeon. His mother worked as a nurse practitioner and health educator.
Most recently Behling was featured in the classic remake of the Cinderella franchise with “A Cinderella Story: Starstruck” (2020) on HBO Max. Behling stars as Jackson Stone, a famous actor, and singer bringing big-city charm and dreams to the small town in a big Hollywood production. The project stirs up dreams in Finley Tremaine, a downtrodden small-town teen with hopes of movie star dreams.
Growing up in the Midwest allowed Behling to participate in a variety of sports. After several years of hard work, it was no surprise that he earned an athletic scholarship to run track at Indiana State University. His events included the 4X4 relay and hurdles. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather and mother, Behling enrolled at Indiana State University, where he majored in pre-med (including a biochemistry path). It was there that Michael discovered his true passion. After two years of college, he withdrew to pursue an acting career and enrolled in acting classes to perfect his craft. In 2017, Behling booked a role on “Empire,” which catalyzed his career in television and film.
Behling has appeared in several campaigns for American Eagle, Isotoner, Nike, Finish Line, Jordan Brand, True Religion, Reiss, Kitson, and Microsoft, among many others. When he is not filming, Behling enjoys hiking and exploring outdoor activities with friends and family. He remains committed to animal welfare programs and is a staunch advocate for mental health awareness. Behling is actively involved in youth programs with The Boys & Girls Club of America and St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
