Darryl Whitefeather in “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”

In The CW’s critically acclaimed comedy “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” Pete Gardner plays Darryl, Rebecca’s boss at a West Covina law firm. Darryl grew up in Orange County and considers himself very cultured and intellectual, a cut above the usual West Covina resident.

Gardner was born and raised in Scarsdale, New York. He attended Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. In 1986, Gardner moved to Chicago to pursue improv and studied at Improv Olympic with Del Close, and was on a house team there for many years. Gardner later began directing at Second City.

Gardner has appeared in numerous film and television shows. He recurred on the television comedy “The Brink” alongside Jack Black and Tim Robbins and was seen in “Masters Of Sex,” “1600 Penn,” “Full Circle” and “Eagleheart” with Chris Elliott. Other television credits include “Psych,” “Perception,” “Workaholics,” “CSI,” “Bones,” “My Boys,” “Boston Legal,” “CSI: New York,” “Cold Case,” “Malcolm In The Middle” and “The Bernie Mac Show.”

Gardner’s feature film credits include “Father Eddie,” “Deadly Retreat,” “Oliver Stoned,” “Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant,” “Project X,” “The Hangover: Unrated Version,” “Labor Pains,” “Fun With Dick And Jane,” “Wish You Were Dead,” “Evan Almighty,” “Good Advice,” “Transformers,” “Love Shack” and Michael Radford’s improvised film, “Dancing At The Blue Iguana.”
