SCOTT MICHAEL FOSTER
Nathaniel Plimpton III in “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”

In The CW’s critically acclaimed comedy “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” Scott Michael Foster plays Nathaniel Plimpton III, Rebecca’s alpha male boss whose arrogance both attracts and repels Rebecca.

Named one of Variety’s Top 10 Actors to Watch, Foster was born in Illinois and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas. He grew up just outside of Chicago until he was 12 years old, where his family lived on a farm and he was home schooled. When Foster’s older sisters started to dabble in theater, he immediately became interested in the entertainment industry. After moving to Dallas with his family, he went on to study at the Quad C Theatre Program at Collin County Community College.

Upon moving to Los Angeles, Foster landed several independent films, and in 2007 he booked what would become his regular acting gig for the next five years: a series regular role starring as Cappie on the hit series “Greek.”

Additional television credits include starring as Wick Briggs on “Blood and Oil” and as Kristoff on “Once Upon A Time.” He also had recurring roles on “Chasing Life,” “Halt and Catch Fire,” “Quarterlife,” “Californication” and “The River.” Foster also guest starred on “The Closer,” “Friends with Benefits,” “Law & Order: LA,” “Parenthood,” “Melissa & Joey,” “The River” and “Zero Hour” opposite Anthony Edwards, Jacinda Barrett, Addison Timlin and Carmen Ejogo. Foster has also written, produced and starred in his own pilot entitled “Neighbros.”

On the film front, Foster starred as Daniel Meyer in the horror/thriller feature “The Pact II” as well as 2009 fan favorite independent feature “Teenage Dirtbag.” He wrapped production on the independent feature “My Dead Boyfriend,” directed by his former co-star Anthony Edwards, and also starring Heather Graham, Gina Gershon and John Corbett.

When not acting, Foster is an active supporter of The Sue Weaver Cause, an organization that promotes consumer awareness of unsafe service employment. Foster is also a musician, making music for over a decade with his band Siren’s Eye. He recently became a certified scuba diver.

Foster lives in the Los Angeles area with his two dogs, Oliver and Charlie.
