Five-Part Digital Docuseries Concludes with One-Hour Primetime Special

Airing on The CW Network on Tuesday, October 3

 

September 20, 2017 (Burbank, CA) – The CW, in partnership with Machinima and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), presents an all new season of the eSports series CHASING THE CUP: INJUSTICE 2 launching today on CW Seed and Machinima’s main YouTube channel. The first three episodes of the digital docuseries are available today, with episodes four and five to debut next week. The finale of CHASING THE CUP: INJUSTICE 2 will air on The CW Network as a one-hour primetime special on Tuesday, October 3 (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT).

 

CHASING THE CUP: INJUSTICE 2 follows some of the country’s top eSports players, revealing their commitment and dedication as they train, travel and compete for the Injustice 2 Pro Series Finals, hoping to win the championship and the $250,000 grand prize. Players featured include SonicFox, HoneyBee, Biohazard, Slayer, ForeverKing, Semiij and Scar. The broadcast special will include a behind-the-scenes look at the Finals, plus a special announcement about a new DC character coming to Injustice 2 this fall.

Injustice 2 is the super-powered sequel to the hit game Injustice: Gods Among Us that allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters.
