CAITY LOTZ

Sara Lance/White Canary on “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”

Actress and director Caity Lotz stars in The CW series “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” as Sara Lance, the badass, bisexual co-captain of the Legends and newlywed to Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan.)  After training with the League of Assassins and spending time as a costumed vigilante in Star City, Sara has made her home on the Waverider and leads the team in protecting the timeline from aberrations, anomalies, and anything else that threatens to mess with history.  Sara herself has never been safer thanks to her new alien regeneration powers but with the Waverider destroyed, her crew is more vulnerable than ever. Without the usual tools at her disposal, Sara will have to rethink how she does things in order to get the Legends safely home.

In film, Lotz starred in Caradog James’s “The Machine” and the Sundance thriller “The Pact.” Her other film credits include Screen Gems’ “Battle of the Year” as well as “Small Town Crime,” opposite John Hawkes and Octavia Spencer. She also had a memorable arc on “Mad Men.”

Lotz’s short film “Twin Turbo” won for Best Action at Holly Shorts film festival and she has gone on to direct multiple episodes of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” including the upcoming 100th episode.

Lotz, alongside Candice Patton, is also a co-founder of Shethority, an online global collective that provides a positive space for women (cis women, transwomen, genderqueer women, and non-binary people who are significantly female-identified) to discuss and conquer the unique challenges of the female experience in today’s world through sharing journeys, challenges, triumphs, and inspirations.

Lotz currently resides in Los Angeles.
