Paula Brooks / Tigress in “DC’s Stargirl”

Joy Osmanski stars as Paula Brooks / Tigress, a member of the Injustice Society and mother of Artemis (Stella Smith), on The CW’s drama “DC’s Stargirl.”

Osmanski, the alluring, graceful and jovial actor, dancer and mother of three has established herself as one of Hollywood’s hardest working entertainers. Currently, she can also be seen in the Animation Domination series “Duncanville.”

Born in South Korea and adopted at a young age by her American parents, Osmanski had a drive and appreciation for the arts when she began ballet lessons at the age of three in her hometown of Olympia, Washington. She attended Principia College and graduated within three years with a degree in creative writing and studio art. She began her career as a graphic designer and moved to Boston and then San Francisco where she created her own graphic design company. Osmanski continued to work on her ballet and dance skills and went on to book professional gigs on the side. After seeing a notice for auditions for a local production of “Our Town,” she auditioned for the play and was cast in the lead role. Following her performance, Osmanski auditioned and received her MFA from UC San Diego, one of the top three professional actor training programs in the country.

Osmanski moved to Los Angeles with her husband Corey Brill and has continued to work steadily in theater, television and film, booking roles in hit projects including “The Loop,” “Santa Clarita Diet,” “The Fosters,” “Fired Up” and “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.”

When Osmanski isn’t busy in front of the camera or in a studio, she can be found spending timing with her husband and three kids, walking their dog or taking care of their beehives and cultivating their own honey. Osmanski also likes to spend her time keeping fit by doing weight training, yoga and cardio.
