Joanne Kowalski in “Family Law”
Lauren Holly plays Joanne Kowalski, a charming, vivacious, selfish mother and divorcee on The CW’s drama series FAMILY LAW. Harry (Victor Garber) and Joanne did not end the marriage on good terms, submitting their daughter to vitriol and an absence of guidance. Though she may not admit it, Joanne enjoys having Abby (Jewel Staite) back home and getting another shot at being a mother.
A SAG and Emmy Award-nominated actress, Holly is most known for her three seasons as Director Jenny Shepard in the acclaimed series “NCIS.” She has also starred in ABC’s “Motive,” CBS’ “Chicago Hope” and Netflix cult-favorite “Designated Survivor.” Her first big break was on Emmy Award-winning series “Picket Fences” and has since been in major motion pictures such as “Dumb and Dumber,” “Any Given Sunday” and “Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story.”
Born in Pennsylvania, Holly was raised in New York and earned an undergraduate degree in English from Sarah Lawrence College.
Holly is currently based in Toronto.
