CORRINE KOSLO

Bea Finley-Cullen in “Moonshine”

Corrine Koslo stars as Bea Finley-Cullen in The CW’s new series “Moonshine.” The Moonshine’s hippy mamma bear, when push comes to shove, Bea isn’t shy about her claws. She embodies the soul of the Moonshine: off-beat, rough around the edges and all heart. Bea runs her life like she runs her business – problems aren’t fixed, they’re covered up. Dysfunction and denial are the tried and tested way of the Finley-Cullen family because they work - until Lidia (Jennifer Finnegan) comes home. Her big plans threaten to unearth all the Moonshine’s secrets and uncover how far this matriarch is prepared to go to save her family.

A versatile actor born in France, Koslo grew up in Halifax, Manitoba and Edmonton and is a graduate of the Vancouver Playhouse Acting School. A member of the Shaw Festival acting ensemble for 12 years, Koslo was most recently seen as Mrs. Lovett in the Festival’s production of “Sweeney Todd.” Other recent favorites there include the Duchess of Berwick in “Lady Windermere’s Fan, Grace in Faith Healer” and Lola Delaney in “Come Back, Little Sheba.”

Koslo has performed on stages across Canada for the last four decades. She has received two Dora Mavor Moore Awards for her roles in Young People’s Theatre’s productions of “Seussical The Musical and Bunnicula,” Jessie Richardson Awards for her performances in “Love and Angels” (Vancouver Playhouse) and “Sweeney Todd” (Arts Club) in Vancouver and a Sterling Award for her Madame Arcati in “Blyth Spirit” at the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton. Other recent work includes “Middletown” (Shaw Festival/Crow’s Theatre), “Kinder Transport” (Harold Green Jewish Theatre), “Funny Girl” and “Bedroom Farce” (Soulpepper Theatre Company) and “The Penelopiad” (Royal Shakespeare Company/National Arts Centre).

Koslo starred on CBC/Netflix award-winning series “Anne with an E” where she played the indomitable ‘Rachel Lynde’ for three seasons and has proudly stepped in as the voice of ‘Emma’ in the animated series, “Corner Gas” for Vérité Films, in honor of the late, great Janet Wright.

Currently, Koslo resides in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario and when she’s not working, she loves photography and being with friends and family.
