Lena Luthor in “Supergirl”

Katie McGrath currently stars as Lena Luthor in The CW series “Supergirl.” Irish actress McGrath has an established international film and television profile and has several exciting new projects on the horizon.

McGrath was in the fourth installment of the global franchise “Jurassic World,” alongside Chris Pratt, Judy Greer, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jake Johnson. The film became the box office hit of 2015 and the third largest grossing movie of all time.

She also filmed Guy Ritchie’s “Knights of The Round Table: King Arthur,” alongside Jude Law. McGrath was also seen in the film “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” as Elsa. In addition, McGrath was also seen in “The Throwaways,” a film about a notorious hacker who is captured by the CIA, made to work for the organization or face a life sentence in prison. She also starred in the romantic feature film “Leading Lady.”

Well known for the NBC/SKY co-production Dracula, McGrath played the female lead role of Lucy Westenra. She starred opposite Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Oliver Jackson Cohen in the 10-episode drama set in Victorian London. She also starred in Ridley Scott’s much anticipated adaptation of Kate Mosse’s bestselling novel “Labyrinth.” McGrath is best known for her lead role in the BBC’s global hit show Merlin. She also played the lead role of Sarah in the Canadian television series “Slasher,” which also aired in 2016.

McGrath has also appeared in the feature film “W.E.,” the story of the affair between King Edward VIII and American divorcée Wallis Simpson, directed by Madonna. In addition, McGrath starred in “Red Mist,” directed by Paddy Brannach and the award-winning feature “Eded,” directed by Declan Recks.

Her other television credits include the show “Frontier,” playing Elizabeth Carruthers, The UK’s Channel 4’s docudrama “The Queen,” playing Bess in the popular historical drama “The Tudors” for the BBC in 2008, as well as playing Rachel in Aisling Walsh’s drama “Damage.”

McGrath made her stage debut in La Marea directed by Mariono Pansotti which was performed at the Bedrock, Dublin Theatre in 2007
