Michael Bishop plays Jonathan Kent in The CW’s hit series “Superman & Lois.”

Fresh from Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, Bishop recently made his American film debut with his breakout lead role in Disney Channel’s Original Movie “Spin” in Summer 2021, where he played the male lead character, ‘DJ Max,’ who is the love interest of Rhea Kumar (“Avantika”). “Spin” was the first DCOM with an Indian American female lead and centered around Indian culture.

Bishop’s other credits include his role as Teddy in the Australian TV Series “Grace Beside Me,” a supporting role in the feature film “Swinging Safari,” lead roles in the short films “Shelter,” Skin Like Bark,” “Detention,” “Pet Rock,” “Hunter and Gatherer,” and “Indiana.”

He passionately supports causes such as Breast Cancer Awareness, Children in Performing Arts, and is a strong ally to the LGBTQ+ community.

In his free time, Bishop is a down to earth young man who loves writing, reading, and playing card and board games with his friends and family. He truly values staying present in the moment and creating memories that will last a lifetime, through shared experiences with friends. He loves trying new things that put him outside of his comfort zone. Whether it is trying new foods, going to theme parks, or listening to new live music, Bishop loves activities that challenge him mentally and physically. To stay active, he loves boxing, surfing, and skating. He also enjoys watching Rugby, Boxing, and Basketball. At home, he has a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Daisy, and he hopes to add some turtles at some point soon.
