Spencer James in “All American”
In The CW’s new series “All American,” Daniel Ezra plays Spencer, South Crenshaw High’s All-Star wide receiver who lives life on and off the field with a chip on his shoulder. When he’s given the opportunity to play for Beverly High, Spencer finds himself thrust into a world completely unlike the one he’s always known, and still expected to be the Spencer that each world needs.
Ezra recently filmed a leading role in “All Souls – Discovery of Witches,” starring Theresa Palmer and Matthew Goode.
He also performed as Sebastian in Twelfth Night, directed by Simon Godwin at The National Theatre. This performance led him to be nominated for the Ian Charleson award, an honour that highlights the best classical stage performances amongst British actors under the age of 30. Other theatre credits include Trouble in Mind at the Theatre Royal Bath and Romeo and Juliet for the Bristol Old Vic.
Previously, Ezra had key roles in “Undercover” and “The Missing.” He graduated from East 15, filming the feature films “Blood Cells” and “The Village” in his final term. Other television appearances include guest leads in “Vera,” “No Offence,” “Prey” and “Prime Suspect 1973.”
Ezra currently resides in Los Angeles.
