In The CW’s new supernatural thriller “The Winchesters,” Jensen Ackles stars as Dean Winchester, the eldest son of Mary Campbell and John Winchester. Following in his parents’ footsteps, alongside his brother Sam, he became one of the most heroic Hunters of all time. As the narrator of our show, we find Dean looking back on his parents’ story and questioning the truth of what he’s been told.

 

Ackles can currently be seen in the third season of the critically acclaimed series, “The Boys,” making his debut in the role of Soldier Boy. His performance has been recognized as “brilliant” and “the most significant addition to the series”.

 

More recently cast in the third season of “Big Sky,” Ackles will take on the role of Sheriff Beau Arlen. Season three is set to premiere in the Fall of 2022. He is also in development on an Untitled DC Project with Greg Berlanti.    

 

Ackles is best known for the role of Dean Winchester, the rugged bad boy who teams up with his younger brother to find their missing father and battle evil and mysterious forces, who he brought to life on The CW’s international sensation “Supernatural.” “Supernatural” recently ended after fifteen incredible seasons, the longest running prime time American sci-fi show in history and has expanded beyond just a TV series to include a comic book series, anime series, novel series, and spin-off show. Ackles will be producing “The Winchesters,” alongside Chaos Machine, his First Look production company under Warner Bros.

 

In film, Ackles starred in the remake of Patrick Lussier’s 1981 slasher film “My Bloody Valentine 3D,” opposite Jaime King, where he played Tom, a principled man who returns home to Harmony, Missouri 10 years after 22 people were murdered on Valentine’s night. Other credits include David Winkler’s “Devour” for Sony Pictures and David Mackay's independent romantic comedy, “Ten Inch Hero.”

  

Ackles began his acting career in 1997 in the critically acclaimed role of Eric Roman Brady on “Days of Our Lives” for which he received three Daytime Emmy nominations and won the Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Male Newcomer in 1998.

 

Along with his wife, Danneel, Ackles is active in raising awareness and funds for various social interests. They partnered with and are on the board of a charity founded by his “Supernatural” co-star, Misha Collins, called Random Acts —an organization aiming to change the world by spreading positivity in communities everywhere. The Ackles’ have recently partnered with Random Acts to create a new initiative to revolutionize high school education by bringing laptops into the villages of Nicaragua in the era of COVID-19 and the need for virtual instruction. The Ackles’ are also strong supporters of Creative Action, a nonprofit, arts-based youth development organization that provides creative learning programs for Central Texas youth. They also support Out Youth, an organization providing a safe space for all sexual orientations and gender identities as well as The Birthday Party Project, an organization that throws birthday parties for children in homeless shelters. Lastly, the Ackles’ fund a donor-advised endowment that directs monies to other charity organizations based on interest and need.
